How do I know what product to choose?

Choose our Daily Defense Shampoo and Daily Defense Conditioner for Lice Prevention.  Use it any time you or your kids are at risk of a lice infestation, such as at school, summer camp, sports seasons etc…

If you already have an active infestation that you need to crush, you can use our Shampoo to kill lice and their eggs!  We recommend using it for 14 days straight to be extra safe.

Can Mayday products be used for lice treatment?

Although Mayday Lice Prevention Shampoo is designed to kill stray lice before a full infestation occurs, bench studies show it can also be a safe and effective treatment when used properly.

To use as a treatment: Apply a generous amount of shampoo to the crown of the head and massage thoroughly into the hair. Add more as needed to fully saturate all strands. Leave on for 3 minutes, then rinse completely. Follow with Mayday Lice Fighting Conditioner.

Once all product is rinsed out, detangle the hair and use a lice comb to remove lice and nits. For best results, repeat every 24 to 48 hours over a 3-week period.

*For young children, we strongly recommend that an adult apply the shampoo to ensure effective use.

Does Mayday use Pyrethrin or other toxic pesticides?

No, never! Only safe and effective solutions here! No pesticides or neurotoxins

No!  Mayday products are safe and effective for the whole family!  We recommend all family members to use Mayday Daily Defense Shampoo and Conditioners; especially when a member of your family has had an infestation!
